Have you heard about LUPEC?  . . . The Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails

If you are going to be entertaining, why not serve it up the right way like the Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails. No, it is not a disease, not a new University, not the name of your old Latin teacher, but a group of gals that meet once a month to sample all kinds of yummy cocktails. The several chapters in the United States comprise of housewives, lawyers, mixologists, artists and engineers, corporate execs, teachers, you name it. They are connoisseurs of the mixed drink who gather monthly to celebrate their mission.

But wait, don’t get the wrong idea. This is not a drinking fest. Boston has written a book, The Little Black Book of Cocktails – all proceeds go to charity. Denver’s last fundraiser was Breakfast for Boobs – proceeds to Breast Cancer research. Chicago – Women Helping Women – an event to promote local shop owners in addition to a past Spring event which raised money for an Abusive Women’s Shelter.

For more info on LUPEC contact one of their chapters. Drink, have fun, and reach out.
