Family Foodie is the brainchild of Isabel Laessig, a cook, a mom and a ‘community’ organizer (foodie community, that is!)
What began as a foodie blog with a mission to ‘bring back Sunday Supper’ has turned into a major foodie movement and weekly event.
There is a ton of stuff going on over at Family Foodie.
The Family Foodie Cookbook:
The Family Foodie recipe index is set according to such categories as Appetizers, Football Fare, Farmer’s Market Recipes, Re-inventing Leftovers or Soups.Salads.Sandwiches plus more.
Not only does Isabel post her own Sunday Supper recipes, but there is a major community involved with this movement.
“Every Sunday, the #SundaySupper team follows a focus topic, ingredient or theme creating wonderful recipes to share with everyone. Click here to find previous themes and the corresponding Sunday Supper Group Recipes. “
- A weekly tweet chat on Sunday evening at 7 pm ET is held with everyone sharing their #SundaySupper recipes and fun. Recipes continue to be tweeted all during the week.
- People post recipes on their own blogs and their links are listed on Family Foodie’s site for easy reference.
- The community is active and good friends are made there. If you are a cook, look into becoming a member!
Looking for quicker-to-make meals? This recipe index, actually a part of the Family Foodie Cookbook, also acts as a stand alone with other blogs contributing their own weekday recipes!
Family Foodie is hosting their first Food and Wine Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida on July 19th to the 21st. With a star studded list of food professionals, if you are a foodie blogger you will want to look into going to this event.
