Trick or Treating Parent Treats
Children will be coming to your door by the droves next week, next Friday to be exact. You’ll hand out candy and they’ll greedily accept it with the anticipation of going home with their loot; sorting it out and trading what they don’t want with their siblings and friends and then proceeding to eat as much as they can before their parents take it all away to be rationed.
Parents relive their childhood through their children’s. For the most part, they are getting a huge kick out of the Halloween costumes and sometimes get more excited about going out to trick or treat than do their kids. Wouldn’t it be nice to give those hard working, attention starved trick or treating parents something for their efforts?
It is a bit awkward giving out anything but wrapped candy to strangers and that includes the parents. For 12 cents each, order a few packets of these Halloween Picture Frames. You can attach them to the candy when you hand it out and the parents can frame that special memory of this year’s Halloween costume. For other cute, but inexpensive ideas, go to Oriental Trading.
For Friends & Neighbors
For those hardwalking/driving parents – give them a goodie to munch on while they are waiting for their children to run up to the multitudes of doors during their trick or treating!
For Non- Drivers
For those neighborhood parents who are walking – give them a shot or a drink. It will help take the edge off of the waiting!
If you don’t want the kids to grab the adult-intended goodies, here are a few ideas especially for the parents.
