Occupation:  Antiques Silver Expert

Nan Stuckwisch, a long-time collector of sterling, learned about silver from her 102 year old Grandmother.  Her first career was an environmental consultant. Becoming an Antique Silver consultant was a good fit as like antique and vintage in general it is an obvious example of any easy way to reduce, reuse, & recycle!

Nan also wants to change people’s perceptions of silver.

Nan authors her site, Silver Magpies and finds and sells silver. She will be opening a Bridal Registry for Antique Silver in 2012.

Bascially loves:     “I truly believe we should use and enjoy what we have. I say it time and time again, but what is the point of being fortunate enough to have beautiful things if we save them for best – and end up never using them. Silverware in particular, was made to be used! The vast majority of silverware ever made are not museum pieces – they are functional items.”
